Extensive consultation was required with project teams and facility sponsors, culminating in reporting and presenting to Councils Executive Team and Councilors.
Each major project required an options assessments and cost-benefit review to determine the preferred scheme to recommend to Council. The ability of Cequent to navigate its way through the many external and internal stakeholders enabled considerable time compression in carrying out this complex and critical exercise. Cequent have consolidated strong connections at all levels of Council including the executive General Management team.
Cequent were appointed the Project leader for the major community projects budgeting for Christchurch City Council’s Long Term Plan amendment 2012. The major community projects recommended and approved budget was $767 million, comprising of ten projects including Christchurch art gallery, QEII & Centennial pool replacement, Christchurch town hall, Christchurch central library, AMI stadium, central city car parks and Hornby service centre.
